Battle of the sexes

Hi everyone!! I hope everyone is having an awesome Monday!!  One topic that has been weighing on my heart is gender.  I was hesitant to post this but I feel that it is necessary.  So lets get right to it!

After watching the Bruce Jenner interview and watching over the years how more and more people have decided to change their gender, it made me think.  I saw all the the comments of applause and all of the “heroic” comments regarding Bruce Jenner…and again, it made me think. I watch “Botched” on Tuesday nights and it has become the norm to have clients on the show that have changed their gender.  What concerned me about this topic is that we are saying that God wanted me to be woman instead of a man or vice versa.

Let me be clear…God has beautifully and wonderfully made each and everyone one of us.  Don’t let the enemy tell you a lie from the pit of Hell.  I am not judging Bruce or anyone else who may have be struggling with this but I can’t call this heroic but what I will and can do is pray.  The enemy has our generation under attack.  People everywhere are falling under the voices of strangers and we don’t even realize it!  We have people taking their own lives because they are struggling with an internal battle with their gender; this makes me sad.

It’s like we try to insult God by saying, “God, you didn’t really intend me to be this way, you really want me to be that way.”  We are talking about the same God who made the stars, the moon and makes the sun rise and set!!  He is the same God that never sleeps nor slumbers while we sleep and slumber!  This is the same God that knew you before you knew yourself and He made you with a purpose and a plan.  Lets not forget who He is.  Lets not ever question who He has called us to be.  Again, I am not judging, but I have to bring the truth & light into this discussion and the truth is Him.

Verses to meditate on:

Jeremiah 29:11-12 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.”  KJV

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Galatians 6:1 “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”

P.S. Lets continue to pray for each other.  We should also pray for those that we feel that we don’t “know.”  We are all one in the body of Christ.

Jesus is Love,

Chelsea
